Meet Marc Wilner LCPC
Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with adults and teens facing a wide range of challenges, including burnout, emotional distress, addictions and impulsivity issues, grief and loss, relationship and marital communication issues, parent-teen conflict, trauma and PTSD, challenges facing First Responders including adjustment and life transition issues, and those struggling with anxiety and depression . Every individual brings a unique story, and I consider it a privilege to help clients discover new ways to heal, grow, and move forward.
My professional experience, combined with the perspective that comes from life's own challenges, has helped me build meaningful connections with people from many different backgrounds and stages of life. Whether I'm working with a teenager navigating today's pressures or an adult facing long-standing struggles, my goal is to create an environment where you feel comfortable being yourself and confident that we'll work together toward meaningful change.
I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University and am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland. My work is grounded in evidence-based practices and tailored to the unique needs and goals of each individual.
Outside the counseling office, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and performing with my '80s tribute band, Quantum Leap. Music has always been an important part of my life and continues to remind me of the power of connection, resilience, and hope.
I look forward to the opportunity to help guide you toward better days.
What Working Together Looks Like
I believe therapy is most effective when it feels like a genuine conversation. My role isn't simply to listen—it's to be fully engaged in understanding your experiences, asking thoughtful questions, and helping you discover practical ways to move forward.
Every session is a collaborative process. Together, we'll explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools you can use in everyday life. My goal is to help you find greater peace, freedom, and happiness while equipping you with the skills and confidence to continue moving forward long after our sessions end.
